The |nucleus| is a small sphere, only a minute fraction of a millimeter wide, in the central portion of a cell. It is the control center of the cell. The |nucleus| contains small |nucleolus| which contain the DNA coding. The function of DNA (Dexoxyribonucleic acid) is to pass on the characteristics of one generation of cells to the next.
